Greece in numbers
Where Greece stands among the 27 EU member states on income, jobs, prices and inequality, and who lives there. Every figure is a link to the Eurostat table it was read from; where Eurostat publishes nothing, the page says so.
Reading Greece's numbers
- Greece's real GDP fell in every year from 2009 to 2013 in the Eurostat figures this site holds; a year-on-year growth figure after that period measures a rebound from a low base, not a level of prosperity.
- Greece is listed under Eurostat code EL, not the ISO code GR; every Eurostat table on this site uses EL.
- Eurostat publishes no figure for Greece for: House prices. These rows are gaps in the tables this site loads; they are left as gaps and never filled from another country or another source.
- Eurostat flags the latest Greece figure as estimated or provisional, so it may be revised, for: GDP per head; Economic growth; GDP per head, adjusted for prices; Statutory minimum wage, adjusted for prices (2025, 2026-S2).
