Methodological caveats
The citizenship groups are not additive. EU-foreign and non-EU-foreign are disjoint subsets of all foreign citizens, natives plus foreign citizens make the total, and the EFTA and candidate-country groups are subsets of non-EU-foreign, not extra groups; a group is never summed with its own aggregate. The citizenship categories here belong to this table and must not be matched to those in the population-by-citizenship data by code alone. Shown for Cyprus only, as the gap between native, EU-foreign and non-EU-foreign employment rates. Eurostat flags a break in this country's time series for this indicator in 2005, 2009, 2021: values on either side of a break were not measured the same way, so the change across it is not a like-for-like movement.
